In reflecting upon our journey at YWCA, we are immensely grateful for the incredible growth and impact we’ve achieved. We have steadily advanced, now reaching thousands in our community with vital programs and initiatives. Our Annual Report and accompanying financial statements are a testament to this progress, providing a detailed overview of our performance and the far-reaching impact of your contributions. Through this report, we invite you to view our timeline, highlighting the transformative milestones and projects that have defined our path of service and growth.
The YWCA Westman would like to recognize that the lands in which we reside were first inhabited by the people of Turtle Island. We, as life-givers, honour the past by committing to learn about the traditions and teachings of our Indigenous family, colleagues, and those we serve. We recognize the harms that colonization and systemic racism has had on Indigenous peoples, and we commit to reconciliation, to do better in our actions, to defend and protect, and provide a welcoming space for women, girls, two-spirit and gender diverse people in our community.
As an organization that exists to empower women and create a safe space for those escaping gender-based violence, YWCA Westman is thrilled to present a dynamic and authentic Canadian author and speaker, Dr. Jody Carrington.
